Algumas curiosidades da História de Almoster:

O lugar de Almoster foi o escolhido por D. Sancha Pires, para a fundação de um mosteiro e sua filha inicia, a construção de um mosteiro feminino, submetido à Ordem de Cister, o Mosteiro de Santa Maria de Almoster, do qual hoje nos resta apenas a Igreja, recentemente recuperada pelo IPPAR, os Claustros e a Casa do Capítulo e as ruínas do Dormitório e Refeitório (séc. XVI). São de referir, no interior da Igreja, vários altares de talha dourada e panos de azulejos seiscentistas. Os dotes culinários destas monjas podem ser ainda hoje apreciados, através dos Arrepiados e Celestes, cujas receitas tradicionais foram mantidas vivas pelas habitantes de Almoster.

Foi também em Almoster, que se travou em 1834, a Batalha de Almoster entre as tropas absolutistas, D. Miguel, e as tropas liberais, D. Pedro, tendo estes alcançado a vitória, iniciando-se aí um novo período da nossa História, a Monarquia Liberal.

It is a farm in ALMOSTER, close to Santarém, with a house already built where all rooms have a bathroom, with the possibility of developing a project for Rural Tourism, or Residential.

Just 15 minutes from Santarém, less than 1 hour from the beaches of Peniche or the beaches of Nazaré, Lisbon or Lisbon Airport, in a quiet area with an excellent view of the surroundings.

The land, made up of several plots, is mostly Agroforestry, with construction feasibility. Next to the main house there are some fruit trees. The Water supply is through a borehole with 270m, it has irrigation pivot and the electricity by Transformer substation EDP, and the infrastructure for drinking water supply and sewage can be carried out from a nearby point.

Some curiosities of the History of Almoster:

The place of Almoster was chosen by D. Sancha Pires, for the foundation of a monastery and his daughter started, the construction of a female monastery, submitted to the "Cister Order", the Monastery of Santa Maria de Almoster, of which today we have only the Church, recently recovered by IPPAR, the Cloisters and the Chapter House and the ruins of the Dormitory and Refectory. It should be noted, inside the Church, several altars with gilded carvings and 17th-century tile panels. The culinary skills of these nuns can still be appreciated today, through the Arrepiados and Celestes, whose traditional recipes were kept alive by the inhabitants of Almoster.

It was also in Almoster, which took place in 1834, the Battle of Almoster between the absolutist troops, D. Miguel, and the liberal troops, D. Pedro, the latter having achieved victory, beginning a new period of our History, the Liberal Monarchy.
