The Parish of Caminha-Matriz is the village of Caminha itself. With so many attractions it is not surprising that it is one of the most important parts of a true 'Mosaic of Landscapes' of the municipality of Caminhense.
Considering its built heritage: the historic area with its walled area, highlighting the old door of Viana which is the well-known Clock Tower, the Mother Church and the Church of Mercy. It is also worth mentioning the Church of Sto. António and that of Sta. Clara, the Chapels of Sra. da Agonia and São João, the Chafariz do Terreiro, the Casa dos Pitas, the Casa de Leiras and the Paços do Concelho, among others.
