A freguesia de Sapataria com uma área de 14,40 km2, ocupa 27,64 % do território do Concelho, a freguesia de Sobral com uma área de 8,70 km2, ocupa 16,70 % e a freguesia de Santo Quintino com uma área de 29,00 km2, ocupa 55,66 % da superfície total.

A freguesia de Sobral de Monte Agraço, sede de concelho e mais urbana, é aquela que apresenta uma estrutura de povoamento mais concentrada.

A freguesia de Santo Quintino, marcadamente rural, conflui com o centro urbano da vila de Sobral e situa-se na zona sul/sudeste do concelho. Santo Quintino apresenta um povoamento disperso, sendo a freguesia com a mais baixa densidade populacional do concelho. Apesar da considerável dispersão da população por um conjunto significativo de pequenos aglomerados, nos últimos anos verificou-se o reforço de alguns núcleos.

A freguesia de Sapataria localiza-se na zona sul/sudoeste do concelho e face às melhorias verificadas na acessibilidade com o fácil acesso à A8, através do nó de Pero Negro, foi a freguesia que registou a maior dinâmica de crescimento populacional.

The parish of Santo Quintino, markedly rural, converges with the urban center of the village of Sobral and is located in the south/southeast area of the county. Santo Quintino has a scattered settlement, being the parish with the lowest population density in the municipality. Despite the considerable dispersion of the population across a significant number of small clusters, in recent years there has been a strengthening of some nuclei.

The parish of Sapataria is located in the south/southwest area of the county and given the improvements in accessibility with easy access to the A8, through the Pero Negro junction, it was the parish that recorded the greatest dynamics of population growth.
